Forums - Microsoft - Hmmm...Resident Evil 5 and 360 controller....have you guys.....

Well it depends on A - Reaction time and B the time it takes to physically move your arm or thumb the correct distance and firing. I would say that the thumb stick would have a speed advantage and I can't get my Wiimote controls as precise as a mouse no matter how much I try so I can't compare precision.

LOL, FPSs are not just about aiming well. It is also about moving around the environment(Well, in a good game that is). WiiMote controls for moving around are just not that great. Yes, if I were to play duck-hunt on a dual analog that would be difficult. LOL.

In case you aren't aware, the Nunchuk has an analog stick which can be (and often is) used for movement.

The nunchuk's analog stick is one of the worst I have ever used...even the N64's was better.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

So I guess it isn't as universal a truth as everyone seems to believe on these boards.

Like I said, the problem lies with developers making you use the boundary box to turn, which makes things clunky unless your enemy is already ahead of you.

Read my post.... If an FPS were to be set up like I wrote you would be able move without having to change your aim, so you can aim just as freely and as fast as in Wii Play, and you could move just as fast and freely as dual analogue.
