Forums - Microsoft - Picture of Xbox360/Zune handheld cell phone.

Somehow I believe a handheld gaming device is Microsoft's missing link in Japan, and it would likely be popular worldwide. I have a suspicion the zune is more of an undercover project for a future gaming device: it is helping to bring component prices down so that the xboy launches with a profit.

Umm... where is the huge brick that is needed to power it? Does it come with gloved to keep from burning your hands? If they can't get the heat out of the 360, how are they going to get it out of a device 1/10th its size?

^^Ice pack.

No.. it's an horrible attempt against Apple's Ipod..

but on topic... Well I don't think Microsoft could make something like this.. It's not the best Hardware manufactor to make something so complicated.. and well let's not talk about the Design Microsoft would come up with..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

^^What is so terrible about the Zune? It plays mp3s, the software is great(I know, I have one), and it works all the time. Seems like it does what an mp3 player should do. Apple just has better marketing.

O dont get me wrong its probably a great mp3 player.. but when you sell 2 million of them against the gazillions of Ipods.. & a 100million dollar ad campaign...  when you forget at first to make the zune vista compatible... Zune supports Windows Media Player 10's DRM, but not WMP 11's... Still not released in Europe.. well that I call a horrible attempt.. and thats just a mp3 player.. what will they do when they make an handheld?

I like the design... it looks like a big iRiver... but I don't think it's happening any time soon... didn't they clearly stated they didn't want to join the handled market for now ???
