Anyone care to put up a list of major, and minor ones this year? My dad was asking me about this earlier - if there were any post-WW2 ones coming out that weren't Gears of War 2.

And yes, I crap you not, my 60 year old dad was the one asking me this. He's looking for reality-based ones, and not sci-fi (so primarily COD4 type, and preferably based on actual conflicts like 'nam and the Iraq war).

Gears of War 2 is the ONLY 360 exclusive shooter out this year by the looks of wikipedia

havent played any of them so i dont know if there any good, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is great, id reccomend it. Battelfield bad company should be worth a look as well.

Wasn't Army of Two in Iraq or something?

Battlefield: Bad Company was just released.

Brother in Arms: Hells Highway releases late August, it's based on the very end of World War 2...

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is also very late August, not sure about the location/timeframe of it though

Tom Clancy's Endwar is due out sometime later this year, takes place during World War 3.

Far Cry 2, Battlefield: Bad Company, Mercenaries 2, Brothers In Arms Hells Highway, Velvet Assassin (dont know whether Velvet will be good though). Why not try getting him Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 or Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I think COD5 is coming out this holiday as well.

Maybe horror: Project Origin, Left 4 Dead

Stay away from Conflict Denied Ops, Turning Point, Hour of Victory.
