IMO content is a very small part of what "online" gaming is.  PSN has a long way to go but I think the update will greatly improve there service.  At least I hope for my sake.

so, the PSN now has 1/2 of the stuff xbox live has? good for you!

anyway, live can only get better, it's never really been bad. Here's hoping for an avatar-based mmo thing.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

StrategyKing how do you like the Spore Creator? I think it is friggin awesome. The number of user creations is amazing and considering it has only been out for a few days is even more amazing. Do you think Banjo will have this much user created content online when it comes out? I think that is a pretty big step that Live is going. Halo started it and Banjo is going to continue it.

Live will always be the better service in my opinion because all of the features have been implemented and taken advantage of from the start.

I am worried that MS isn't evolving Live like Sonyt is, though. They may have something big planned for the Autumn update as they missed the one scheduled for Spring.

Thats not the buissness model they are following. Huxley for example will have its own fee but you will not have to have a live gold subscription to play it online. None of the titles you listed are first party they wont see a dime of live fees. They have to get there revenue for continued maintaince and developement from somewhere so get ready to pay 2 fees live gold for normal online gaming and a subscription fee to any MMO you choose to play.

^^He is right. But it is nice to have someone else talk about the need for fees to pay for maintenance and development for online services.

I don't know why everyone disses PSN......
online works well, lots of content (never compared it to XBL), and it's free

oh yeah, and the store doesnt look like shat anymore...

To be fair i think XBL is going to stay much the same now...

PSN is constantly getting closer and closer to LIVE in terms of features and quality while LIVE hasn't been adding much lately. But why have Microsoft been slow to create innovative features for LIVE? -- The answer is simple, what additional features does LIVE need? --

Online gaming on consoles at the moment is pretty and improvements are now harder to come by. Improving on online was easy in previous generations -- console makers just had to look at PC's ... now though what features do we really need added?

Finally i wish Nintendo would pick up their act. Wii and DS bot have horrible online experiences... if only Nintendo would drop friend codes....

12 million XBox Live subscribers and growing. The XBox Live subscriptions at $50 a pop bring in around $600 million per year to MS alone.
