What are some of the advantages? I wouldn't mind getting a wii,but what advantages are there to buying one over a 360,or PS3 for that matter? For the hardcore gamer.^^Discuss.

To keep it simple: Better controls for most genres.

For me, this trumps all advantages the PS3 and the 360 have. I own a 360 so I would know. For example, I'd easily choose RE5 for the Wii over the 360 just because of the controls, even if the graphics were much worse. Unfortunately, no version is announced yet.

Kind of obvious, don't you think? It's all about the games, man! It's all about the games!

Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Boom Blox
Zack and Wiki
No More Heroes

Those are all games you want to play and you can't on any other console.

if you don't own you will miss out on great 1st party games, some good exclusive 3rd party games, the wiimote, it has better offline multiplayer games then ps360

They have nothing that is as enjoyable as SMG or MKWii.

Mario Kart/Party get you laid. Halo et. al. do not. The Wii has the former. Ergo...
Also, it's nice to have a console that plays more than just PC games. Yeah, I went there.
