Custom Soundtracks were talked about a few months ago for future updates for the game.

I thought that the firmware supported it for a while now, hence the fact that you can have custom sound tracks through Super Stardust HD.

Well that just sucks. Rayne's usually reliable, but I guess he got fooled too. :(

@DOATS1:if this is 2.40 related, they're probably just going to update their database schema to handle trophies or something followed by a round or two of testing. as for PS store being down, maybe a trophy system that unlocks additional content?

only Sony knows.

I doubt they'll release the FW for a week or so but there's always hope

err... no. They could show the video Friday and have the Update Sunday. It has happened before for one of the minor updates (one of the 1.xx updates).

 Apparently a sony employee has posted on neogaff, and is showing off things, and is saying that they will release 2.40 some time in the first days of july.
