All this stuff you have to go through to just install the game is absolutely pointless. If you don't have to go through this stuff on consoles, why should you have to do it on the PC?

it makes no sense at all.

No offense or anything, but just think about that for a second.

Yep, pirated copies are better than retail due to lack of DRM. Now, they go and blame piracy while cripple the retail version more and more even though they are always cracked.

Did I mention I hate having to have my disc spinning while playing? WTH can't I just dump the whole disc onto the computer and put the original away in a safe place?

Ah, that just reminded me. I need to find a crack for SimCity Societies since I don't carry around my laptop base... Damn you EA, I am not buying the xpac because of your silly DRM.

That's why it could be nice to get no disk cracks for the games you already own. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but most games don't actually need the disk anyway other than checking to make sure you have it.

Or you can buy your games from Steam

You are correct. But that occasional spin is what cause the disc scratch more easily. Moving parts. It's safer if the disc is in a constant motion (like a dvd player). or something like that.

Plus, it's really annoying having to hunt down "that disc" when switching games.

Diablo II disc was in my computer for so long years ago. It was nice to not having to switch games.

Can't wait till there's another game come out that does the same again.
