Hmmm...that's hard to chose..but I think my favorite was Resident evil 2 ^^

I always thought the intro to FFVIII was incredible, the montage was awesome and you can't get anymore kick ass than Liberi Fatali as music goes.

Unfortunately, the game itself isn't as good as the opening movie.

agreed, seriously if u havent seen this check it out.  A truly epic cinematic sequence to open a game.

FFVII had quite the nice movie and transition into gameplay.

I am still rather fond of the FFXIII intro. For it's time it was awesome. I still have fond memories of starting a new game over and over just to see it. It's still fun and intense to watch even today. Introduction of the GunBlade baby. If the below link is incorrect i apologize.

As much as I love the original, KH2's opening was better imo (too bad the rest of the game wasn't better than the original).

@Truthhurts: I think you meant VIII, was a little shocked when I saw XIII :D

Mine is Xenogears, the best RPG on PS1 IMO
