Yeah, we really need to see something else other than screenshots. We need to see some gameplay footage soon. This game was announced ages ago and still we know pretty much nothing about it, and people were questioning if it was even still in developement. So yeah, we need to see something soon.

One must equate the initial announcement of Sadness to those of the HD consoles. They announce the game 15 years in advance (plus or minus a year) to get the hype train rolling.

And a lot of people still laugh at the PS3's alleged initial specs as a result.

It's a bad idea to get the "hype train" rolling before you even have a flippin' publisher...

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

this isnt sadness footage, but its a nibris game, does this give hope that sadness will come out

The site will not open next week.

^ That's how little faith I have in this game. It's THAT fake.

That's ancient footage of ROTR on a hacked DS.

A picture of a Wii devkit in their office would probably instill more faith right about now.

Try telling that to High Voltage and their Conduit game.....no publisher options until AFTER they showed game footage.

Yeah I know, HV at least has video of their game but HV is also a far bigger studio.

While this is true, Nibris was hyping the game years before they even had the potential to find a publisher and make it into a game.

Also, HV has some other torpedos in the water in the form of Wiiware titles. Nibris seems to be betting all the marbles on Sadness.

Ever hear of a game called Heavy Rain for PS3? They hyped the hell out of the game with a pretty intriguing tech demo back at E3 2006. Do you know when they actually began work on actual game content? Just 3 months ago.

Sound familiar?
