Heavy influence from the regular sites I went to, plus I was a huge Sony fanboy so I always pushed the whole "unreliable and wrong numbers" thing because they were shit for PS3.

I think Montana & Thatmax named two main reasons which might apply to many lurkers (at least they applied to me,).

And don´t forget the language hurdles for many members.

BTW, I noticed a lot of members who don´t post in threads, but are content with only commenting on sales charts (and game pages).

Welcome to this great, unique site as a poster.

I lurked for a long time also. I first came here to see the numbers but then I started reading the forums and they are just to funny. After a while I decided to join up and throw in my 2 cents every now and then.

When i first came here in 2006, there was not much of anything and the forums had very little going on.  But the thing that made me join about 5months later was my point of view on a matter was not being represented by any other memeber in a thread regarding GTA4.

And welcome to the site juice.

I frequented the site for about 3 months before joining. I enjoy this site because I find the FanBoyism is well contained. Oh, dont get me wrong, its here in force, but "most" of the sites frequented members add intelligence and humor to an already terrific forum environment. When a specific system is doing well their are usually a good amount of members praising and giving props to a specific system regardless of system preferences. I will honestly admit that I DO root for the X360 because I love it, have an abundance of awesome games, and have yet to have a problem with the system (knock on wood). I pull for Nintendo and Sony as well because calling yourself a Gamer requires you to pull for Gaming as a whole. Swallow the pride, and dont hate.....appreciate.

I really can't tell how long I lurked on this site before joining but I know I joined it because of a thread where someone was talking about gamestores and China I wanted to help him I think.

I lurked for around 6 months as I just enjoyed reading through the many entertaining arguments and discussions this site generates. Unlike many video-game related websites, the fanboyism on this site is well contained and doesn`t ruin many discussions.

In regards to posting I simply don`t have as much time as I would like and I am a moderator on another site, so I just enjoy checking this site for news and entertaining discussions.

I was happy lurking around at first but decided to sign up after seeing all the colourful characters we have here.

I love you guys :)
