no.. I cancelled my Final Fantasy 11 account about a month ago after 3 years of play. I love Vanguard its awesome, to me its way better then WoW. But then again I hate the game play in WoW with a passion thats why I quit StarWars Galaxies when its fighting style switched to a WoWish battle-system.

The thing about Vanguard is that it's beyond tough. It's the MMO for hardcore MMO players. Not the people that play WoW 23 hours a day, but the people who enjoy working to get their achievements and powers. It's a really neat concept, but the problem is that people like to show off in MMO's and Vanguard doesn't let you do that easily and that's why it never did well.

It is sad because it was a pretty cool game but sadly people would rather play WoW and get to max level in a few weeks so they can be like all the cool kids.

Also, sadly I'm thinking about finally actually deleting my FFXI account too after about 3 years. I haven't had time to play in months and I was getting bored when I was playing. I never had a lot of time to put into the game anyways, after 3 years my highest job is 72SMN but I got some high crafts and just about every job leveled close to at least 20.

I played Everquest and Dark Age of Camelot and can honestly say I never want to "Work" in a game ever again; WoW is popular because WoW is designed to be fun. No MMO in history has actually been hard, they have just been produced with massive timesinks (with sabotage of your players built in) to keep your customers paying as long as possible.

Play Vanguard and some of the areas of FFXI (mainly Chains of Promathia content) and try telling me again no MMO is ever hard.

why do people feel the need to post when they admit they will never buy a product from sony ever again? Seems like blatent trolling to me if HappySquirrel feels the need to continuously post his negative thoughts in threads about Sony products after having admitted he despises Sony and will never buy a product form them, id say thats the definition of trolling since he would not be contributing anything to the discussions.

And i dont wanna hear the freedom to post in whatever thread.......if you admit you have nothing good or positive to say about something which you already have, dont come crapping on peoples threads since we already know how you feel.

If you actually read my posts they're usually pretty rational arguments for or against what people are saying; I typically defend my posts with sources and I generally don't say "The PS3 is ghey and for losers!"

 Nope, but i think that after youve admitted you despise sony and never intend to purchase anything from them again, you waive the right for your rational argument case.  I would consider this trolling as your intent in every sony thread has now been laid out to be for one intention based on your previous post in this thread....had you not come out and admitted you never have any intention on buying a sony product youre claim for rational argument would hold up, but your post history being over 1,000 and that comment should be enough to get a feel for the type of things you post in sony threads, and to me, all you do is post negative things in sony threads which is against the forum rules and should be enforced.....

youve admitted here you dont like sony so much you will never buy anything form them, this eliminates your innocence of rational discussion as you have a premeditated purpose in all sony threads, you lose and should be banned for digging your own grave, IMO.

Ugh man I am unbelievably disappointed. I was hoping for some huge killzone stuff and I get some crappy spy game from SOE (by far the worst gaming division in Sony). It's even funnier that people are defending this as awesome. How much of a sheep can you be? Nintendo fans were disappointed when Nintendo only released puzzle game crap at their last conference, why can't Sony fanboys admit when they were given nothing worthwhile? This really just shows the sad state that gaming has fallen into. It's not about the games anymore, it's about the companies.

Pretty much the only thing I do in most Sony threads is correct blatent lies by certain posters or give perspective. For example saying that "SOE hasn't made a good game in years" is a pretty valid comment in general being that Vangaurd, Starwars Galaxies, Planetside and Everquest 2 were all highly hyped MMO games which failed to deliver. Some people may argue that "Vanguard is a great game" but it sits at 68% on gamerankings for a reason.

The only reason this is dissppointing is that many Sony fans in here were hyping this up as BIG BIG BIG news instead it is only medieum news. Just a step done from an official Nights announcement. It isn't bad news that is for sure.

Happy Squirrel MMOs can be hard very hard and not just because of time sinks but because of organization.
