After seeing that comment, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if NPD pulled their data for next month and for at least a couple of months after. Like last November except that they actually go ahead with doing it this time regardless of the gaming community. Thus, only those who paid would see it. I honestly would not be surprised at all.

Ah, see, but the thing is:

I work on the marketing team for a major software publisher and every one of the analyst reports we receive cite all of their sources. All of them. vgchartz.com doesn't. That's the difference.

He's in marketing.  He's used to people not taking him seriously.~

 

In all seriousness, I cannot believe the vitriol in meister's and WTF?'s posts.  You'd think Ioi tortured a puppy in front of them with that kind of response.  Not to mention the fact that the writing style is EXACTLY the same as that guy that always trolls VGC whenever NPD comes up.  Does he think that he's getting through to people? I don't even know...

If there was a response at NeoGaf, they probably shut the post down. That's the Gaf way. Your opinion has to be what NeoGaf wants you to think, express your own opinion and you get banned. ioi, Malstrom, lots of other disruptors have already found this out.

@ shams : calling meister a douche is no better than him calling ioi & vgc posters turds. his posts show who/what he is without us namecalling.

That would be a bad move.

It would just further drive people into VGchartz... giving it more credibility because that will be the ONLY place for North American Numbers.

You couldn't even argue NPD because their numbers would be non existant.

It's not like it'd hurt Vgchartz in anyway since they put their numbers out first anyway and therefore have no connection to NPDs numbers.
