I heard of it yes, I was exstatic to hear that they had for once cast someone besides Devon Aoki as a female asian kickass lead or sidekick, she can't act for the life of her and she's not any cool at all...
I was exstatic until I heard who was going to take the role of Chun Li; Kristin Kreuk... I cringed and then died a little inside. Don't get me wrong, I watch Smallville and rather appreciate it to this day but Chun Li needs most zest and bravado than either of the two above mentions could produce!
It'll be Dead or Alive all over again (which is by the way the most incredibly stupid game-to-movie conversion ever to grace my PC).

Len Wiseman is a studio stooge. Which means at best, this movie will be mediocre. Videogame movies have always been a studio's attempt at cashing in(much like movie based games), with the exception of Silent Hill(which Gans had control for the most part), I happen to enjoy Christophe Gans' Brotherhood of the Wolf.

The story of the movie adaption doesn't sound much better than the horribly generic plot of the game.
