MGS4 better than Crysis? No way. Definitely not on the highest settings. Even better, compare the graphics from MGS4 to Far Cry 2 and then ask yourself if the PS3 can compete against a good pc. For me, the answer is NO.



Huh. Who would've thought that beggining anew in my real life would coincide with starting anew on vgchartz?

Any day now, the dollar will be worth less than 2 zloty......any day now.....and my life savings will be in total jepordy ;(.

And its ironic that this thread is made on the cusp of a new GPU generation Not refresh The first real generation Since the G80 (8800gtx) was released. That $2000 PC to run crysis at ultra high is getting about $1000 cheaper.

It should be:

Does MGS4 on a $399 PS3 look better to Crysis run on a $399 PC?

And I think the answer would more often than not be yes.

Faces in Crysis are pretty sweet but i would have to say MGS looks better.....at least from this pic

Even if you're right, it's a bit unfair to put it that way, since most people NEED a PC anyway. A PC does much more than a PS3, so let's not pretend we can set equal prices for both and expect to be doing a fair comparison of PC+Crysis versus PS3+MGS4 performance.

Those crysis screens look like they are on low.

Here is a screen of crysis on highest settings. Well the highest settings without a mod.

definitely not, but I'd say MGS4 has better cinematography and art style than Crysis. photorealism isn't perfect.
