The Xbox 360 has Gears, which is in the same league, and Fable 2 (which is big, but not FF or GT big) this year.

Lets face it, after MGS4, the biggest exclusive left on any system this year saleswise is Gears 2.

Banjo, Too Human or LBP could be big sleepers, but not that big.

Not meeting Sony fan's expectations? Did you even read the expectations thread I just linked to?

MY apologies.  Though to be honest, with FF's diminishing importance, I'd say MGS4 is probably bigger than it.  Though of course, GT5 will be bigger still.

And yes, I read your link.  Its one of the more recent threads, in which Sony fans screwed their heads on straight with the imminent arrival of their game, realizing they wouldn't look to intelligent if it massively underperformed next to their lofty original expectations.

, 360 has so many great RPGs this gen, so FF will not going to be so huge as many people expected...

Honestly, if the Xbox 360 got an across-the-board $50 price cut in the USA just before August, I think we'd see one last worldwide lead month.

But thats just it, I don't think the $50 cut will be across-the-board.

 Biggest PS3 exclusive game is either GT 5 or FF XIII.


Biggest PS3 exclusive is probably R2/R3. Insomniac is just fantastic, and their games get better and better. I predict they'll hit the bigtime and blow everything away a some point.

GT isn't the series it once was, with all the other really good racing games out now. It has competition, and FF is great but the genre is getting smaller, even with the "big" game in it.

Insomniac - Gearbox studios? (Uncharted) - Maybe even GOW3 if they do it right. (Especially if they bundle GOW1/2 on the GOW3 Blu ray like the sexy beings who make it should.) These are the games/companies to watch for PS3 IMO.

But in saying all this, never expect anything less than a fantastic effort from Valve. They are now what I think Insomniac is becoming. Left 4 Dead = Potential Voodoo that you should not ignore. I expert anything from 2.5million to 10 million extreme best seller from them. They are always great but there are times when they hit that awesome button and you have to stand back.

Epic = Great, but I hate ALL of their games except for their early ones like Jill of the Jungle.

Wrong, they'll be coming out next March along with God of War III.  That is only about eight months away not a LONG way away.

starcraft, I´ve seen you say several times you do expect the 360 to end up in 3rd place when all is said and done, but that it´ll be a very strong 3rd place and won´t mean a shift to the PS3 on devs´ part...with that said, honestly, when do you expect the PS3 to surpass the 360´s total sales?....by the end of 2009?...before, after?
