Consider that the PS3 has no real exclusives with any drive behind it for the rest of the year and the start of next, I would be worried if I were Sony. Not just gears but Fable 2 will shift consoles and like it or not so will BK3. Add to that whatever big hitters come from E3 that M$ say they will anounce there and it doesnt look great for Sony.

Also MGS4 300,000 first day Japan. Is it just me or is that very poor for the Japanese market and a MGS game?

I expected alot more from MGS4.

300k on the first day on a console with just 2 million is very nice

2008 PS3 titles: Little Big Planet, Motor Storm 2 and Resistance 2 will be huge selling PS3 AAA titles.

Wow, and here I thought Starcraft couldn't have been any bigger a fanboy than he was before.

Oh, FYI, you are forgeting R2. as "big exclusive"... let's not forget LBP and MotorStorm 2, not big sellers, but exclusive nevertheless... oh, and a little game called Socom.

MY apologies.  Though to be honest, with FF's diminishing importance, I'd say MGS4 is probably bigger than it.  Though of course, GT5 will be bigger still.

And yes, I read your link.  Its one of the more recent threads, in which Sony fans screwed their heads on straight with the imminent arrival of their game, realizing they wouldn't look to intelligent if it massively underperformed next to their lofty original expectations.
