That game was the BOMB. Build cities with the Wiimote, epic battles (I'm torn as to whether it should be side scroller or 3rd person - al la God of War). They MUST include the "mode 7" zooming/rotation descent to earth as well as some cool effects for the possession of the statue.

Finally, either Yuzo Koshiro must be hired to do the score or even orchestral versions of the original would suffice.

Actraiser was a Enix title for SNES. Since Enix controls Square Enix, they could make a sequel if they wanted.
