Got to thinking, Will history repeat itself,and if so, what will happen. On this site i read a post on MS looking into motion controls. I also read that MS is looking at a possible price drop($199)adn entice families with more gameplay.

MS xbox had a horrible controller, But, they redesigned it, different/better for the 360 THEY LISTENED!!!

PS3, same, Wii , innovative, Gates wants the innovation with his. Do you think MS is honestly going to release a motin control device? and if so will they improve over the wii mote?

Will this be released for the 360? Or will they shock everyone and announce a new system beating everyone to the punch again in a year or so and announce, better graphics, better motion control, and a better price?

       I think that a motion-controller could certainly be in the Next Xbox, but to switch over to one now could potentially be a hassle for developers and early adopters and such. Of Course, it coulkd always be an optional device like the Eyetoy and they could make their own Wii Play/Sports line of games to help break into the casual market.

MS could release a motion control device but it would be a separate controller for separate games and we all know how well that works. The one game released to take advantage of the motion controls will use and then maybe 2 games will come out that use, neither of which will use it well, and the device will be forgotten.

If they decide to do motion controls, they are going to do it with their next system.

If I were a betting man, I'd stake my claim on something to the tune of an Eyetoy-like device. Think of Eye of Judgment, and that's the direction me thinks Microsoft might go.

And, no chance Microsoft announcing a new system next year.

i hope they don't realease another system too early like 2008, 2009. i think most people would be rather dissapointed to only get 3-4 years out of that investment.

I had a nice post all written up explaining why the motion controller would be on the next xbox. As I was about to finish up when I reilised something. I now believe that they will release a motion controller for the 360. Not to actually compete with the Wii, but so that they can work out all the bug and problems with motion control on the 360 and they will use what they learn to design an advanced motion controller for the next system with little or no bugs. They will probably also use an eye-toy type device so that you can become "totaly imursed" in your gameplay.

I believe that the next Xbox will not be released until at least 2010 but more likely 2011. As long as they have a lead over Sony, I think they will be happy to stick with the 360 and make some profits.

Now that would be cool, especially for that game Bioshock
