Does anybody have any specific information as to the modifications made to the 360 with these versions? Does the 3 year warranty still apply to these?

We'll miss you George.

Falcons all have 65nm CPU thus generate less heat and consume less electricity, also they all have one HDMI out.

Jaspers are supposed to be in fabrication now to show up in august's shipments with a 65nm gpu as well which would further reduce heat and electric consumption.

And as MrBubbles said, warranty applies to both.

Warranties apply to both, yes. The only real difference for the consumer between the two that I've heard of is that Jasper will be quieter than Falcon, although it's probably a bit more reliable than the Falcon as well (Since Falcon was intended to be a stopgag).

The Jasper update is actually a bigger update than the Falcon was. They're reducing the size of every piece of silicon in the console down to 65nm and like the Falcon they're releasing a new motherboard so hopefully that means they will finally add wireless.

Tease.

I somehow find that hard to believe. MS is probablly more thrilled to do cost-savings than increasing the bom on the unit.

August? Crap. That means I should wait before buying a 360 now.

Firstly chips dont make noise, the fans emit the noise. Second Falcon isnt a stop gap for jasper as they are different chips. Falcon is the CPU and Jasper is the GPU. With both Falcon and Jasper the 360 will be significantly cooler hence no RROD.
