1) MS sell it to reatailers
2) Retailers sell it to you
3) X360 RROD and you send it back to MS

It's because ~36.0% of them do a 180 back to MS for repairs and then another 180 back to you. 180 + 180 = 360.

The general product manager, you know the deformed Phil Harrison wanna-be, stated during the bunny advertising online that the Xbox 360 was named because they didnt want to sound like it was M$'s second console hence the 360.
