This was in the recent news section on the front page at Wikipedia just now:

It happened yesterday. Apparently some guy drove a truck through a closed intersection, ran 3 people over, and then ran around screaming and stabbed 18 people. 7 of them are dead.

I wonder why he picked Akihabara, the nerd capital of the world. They're all just buying computers and cameras and playing video games and hanging out in internet cafes and maid cafes, and just cold chillin'. I wonder if he just hated computers or nerds or something? Maybe he was a big nerd and knew there'd be a lot of people there on a Sunday and just wanted to kill the most people? He stabbed people from age 19 to 74. Either way this is totally jacked up.

The Wikipedia page said 3 days earlier, he freaked out and accused people of stealing his overalls, so he left early, then assumed he was fired (but he wasn't), and went on this murder spree.

He wasn't even fired yet, but apparently it just took the fear of losing his overalls to set this freak off. I wonder what could make somebody that nuts.

He lost his honour when he thought he lost his job ?? Japan is in a big economic depression at the moment where you don't want to lose ya job....

OH well those things are happening the last times more and more it is not anymore a safe country anymore..

From what I read, the guy had a mental disorder to begin with. His motivations where translated as: "Fed up with the world, the people and want to do something about it." He actually texted on a forum that he would do it but hey, if some guy would come on here proclaiming that he's gonna ride nude through wallstreet on a steamroller, would you believe it?
