The rumoured 2.4 should include in game XMB and trophies

Some rumors are pointing to a mid-June release for 2.4

the thread title was a little misleading. i thought you meant the is a new update out

The update for in-game XMB would allow you to access or friends list and message while running a game. At the moment, you have to exit out of a game in order to access your messages. 

Sorry if the post name was misleading to certain people i just meant about the new thread coming out.

Damn I thought the update was out already...grrrrrrrr

Anyway, everyone is touting that the next firmware update is 2.40 and will include in-game XMB, something the Xbox 360 currently has where you can send messages via while playing games and listen to music while in-game.

So in-game XMB and the new Trophies system that is suppose to be similar to the Xbox 360 achievement system.

Hopefully this rumored update is true :)
