Forums - Nintendo - Anyone here that boycotting Ubisoft was pointless/useless right now?

I just wish members here will eat crow about Ubisoft when E3 hits just to remind them how silly the ubisoft boycott really is...

BTW are Ubisoft haters here will accept it if the conduit will be published by Ubisoft? Tenchu IV already published by Ubi so publishing the conduit isnt impossible...

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

We won't eat any crow because Ubisoft has nothing but shovelware being developed for the Wii. Publishing =/= developping. We won't want a company like Acquire to take a loss because some Big Monopoly is the only way they can publish the game outside Japan. I would have bought the game no matter the publisher.

People will whistle when Ubisoft reveals their Wii lineup at E3. It will be embarrassing for them.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Why would it be silly? Ubisoft have given no indication they are going to change this at E3 (I'm just waiting to make absolutely sure). If it turns out they were making great games the whole time, that doesn't retoactively make the  fact aht only cheap and sloppy support was shown beforehand go away.

They aren't going to go, "We're sorry for not knowing you were making games you never hinted at until now."

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Off topic: Since when did Tenchu series status change from "good...... 2 generations ago" to "OMG AAA series!" because last time I checked, Tenchu Z sucked and the tenchu games last generation were average at best.

I'm not sure the opinion on ubisoft and "shovelware" should be changed just because of this game. I mean, a average/bad game is still a average/bad game even if it is targetted at the core market.

Original developers are working on it again, as in the ones who made it good back then. That's what's changed.

Because the original developer from first Tenchu will make this game, and From software said themselves that this is the epitome of Tenchu series.

I still don't get how people speaking about boycotting games that are clearly not targeted at them are expected to achieve anything...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

You keep asking the same thing even after some people have explained it numerous times. What do you expect to achieve by posting the same thing over and over?

HINT - look at my last post in the previous page.

PS: I really like it how the Ubisoft defenders are more concerned about this than the people who are boycotting. If I didn't know otherwise, I'd say some of you guys were shills.

to a degree yes, because when you start changing the terms of said boycott it is no longer a boycott. I think people were a bit too hasty in rushing into a boycott without first seeing what E3 and the rest of the convention season had to offer. I wouldn't be surprised that Ubi has more to offer. I was sure to hold my tongue until said conferences were over because I was almost 100% sure something was waiting to be announced. no company is as dumb as we thought.
