I have a Sharp Aquos HDTV, I bought the TV two years ago. My wife loves to watch movies every night, so I can't play videogames sometimes in the night.

 I want to buy another TV, but right now I don't have to much budget. I was in a local store yesterday, and they have a lot of TV's on sale.

I saw a JVC HDTV, it's 30" and Widescreen, 480p, 720p and 1080i, 1 HDMI, 3 HD components and S Video/Composite video.

But, is a CRT, but flat screem. It's bulky. BUT, the price... only $150. Liquidation.

How does a CRT HDTV compares to an LCD? Good response time, black levels, contrast, bright, etc?

CRT's give the best picture quality hands down. I have a 36" Sony Wega WXRT HDTV which easily beats the pants off any LCD or plasma on the market. It's a shame they stopped making these things. Easily the best on the eyes in 480p, 720p and 1080i. :)

It should be fine, CRTs have true blacks as they are not backlit. Colours should be good as well. If its a lot cheaper than the LCDs I say go for it!

CRT can actually run more than one resolution unlike a LCD. (LCD runs only in it's native resolution) So the wii games would probably look better (as well as watching standard TV) than a LCD plus, like you said, CRT usually are cheaper. Also CRT has better (more ) color than LCD. Yet I found LCD are easiler on my eyes than a CRT and LCD has better sharpness.

Why would you need an HDTV for a Wii?

480p and 16:9 would be my guess.

Anway, I responded to the OP in his Off-Topic thread. Buy the TV.

If I were you I would tell that woman to get back to the kitchen, and then you'll save money and get to play your games, otherwise you could just take turns, fair is fair I suppose.

 The key is both 360 and Wii. CRT HDTV are better at running low resolution since the pixels are not fixed like LCD. Thus CRT upscales an image better than the best of LCD.
