"Mario and his Mushroom Kingdom mates are back in action in this latest trailer of Super Mario Sluggers.
Super Mario Sluggers is the plumber's second baseball game and will be released for Wii on 19 June in Japan. The first - Mario Superstar Baseball - was released for GameCube in 2005 and although it came out at the end of the console's life, it was an excellent Mario sports game.
With Wii Sports-style controls, this new version should be even better as you swing the Remote to hit the ball and pitch. There would also appear to be far more Mario madness in this game with plenty special throws, hits and items.
In this latest trailer we can see Mario hit a flame ball, Yoshi bashing an egg and Donkey Kong rolling out the barrel. Meanwhile, Chain Chomps and shells interrupt the play. Flinging shells looks interesting as, after hitting the ball, you can point the Remote to fling one in the direction of a fielder.
As you can see, there will also be some mini-games and you can play as your Mii in arenas themed around characters such as Yoshi, Donkey Kong and Mario himself. "
