Wow. I can't begin to dive into this topic. There's way too much crap for me to try taking a real part of this conversation.

I will say this, dpmnymkrprez and Plague of Locust seem to be on my level. I haven't even read all of these posts but what they say seems to click with what I was thinking.

i agree. It's too hard to read through 5 pages of long posts. We're just out of the loop, guy.

Yeah, just the last page took me an hour to read.

I only read small segments of all of this, and all I can say is I hope God is real, I'm not religious or anything but It'd be nice if there was someone up there.

I just got done reading this whole thread. Everything was great, everyone was being respectful until the rabid athiest showed up and started disrespecting everybody else.

As soon as that happened, the free flow of ideas ceased and we started talking about semantics of religious texts. If you hate it when Christians try and convert you, why would you try and convert Christians? Christians do it because they are concerned about your immortal soul. You do it why? So you can feel smarter? So you can feel like you defeated some poor ignorant fool who believes in God, who believes that Science, by its very nature, cannot speak authoritatively on spiritual things?

This thread is rather too long, I gave up the idea of even reading when I saw how long it is... but I don't understand why there's only Christianity when the topic is about whether god exists or not.

I agree. Some of the atheists I've spoken with have an air of superiority and look down on religious people. Some think that following a religious text means that the person is backwards, fundamentalist, and believes in an outdated set of principles. That and the religious person obviously doesn't believe in conventional science. ::rolls eyes::

Please note, though, that I said *some* and I'm doing my best to avoid making such a broad generalization.

I don't know if it's true or not but I also have seen someone post on the internet on some website saying that "religious guys" like to think everyone is wrong. If it's true (and if it is then it's probably someone who's obsessed), then they equal out I suppose
