The first installment of downloadable episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV on Xbox 360 is set to hit in the first quarter of 2009, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder revealed on the company's call to investors today.

Feder declined to provide any further details, but now we know the DLC is forthcoming for Xbox 360. No mention was made of PS3 DLC.

---------------------------

Quite a significant delay from the previous data of August '08.

So was GTA4:Epilogue delayed? When does Take2's fiscal year begin?

If you actually look at T2's fiscal calendar, this really means somewhere between November 2008 and January 2009.

Ah, you're right. I didn't realize this. It's not quite as long of a delay then.

How come people don't understand the concept of fiscal year?

It's kind of like how people just can't figure out that when manufacturers say "sold" they mean "sold to retail stores" not "sold to customers."

^ It's not very common to have a fiscal year that begins in November. Before I looked it up, I assumed it began in January.

I honestly couldn't care less though I'm sure the fans of the game will be pleased. Once I finished the story I was glad to put down the controller and send it back to Blockbuster. I was pretty bored with nearly everything other than the story.. Heck, the story is what actually made me want to keep going because it sure as heck wasn't the constant driving around and aim-bot like lock-on kills in progressively less interesting shootouts.

So anyway, enjoy the DLC 360 fans. I just hope that it's something gigantic and not very expensive to justify the wait and any continued interest in the game.
