I mean't NOT pre-rendered... dammit that was the wrong thing to say (too much coffee at work today LOL).
I'm going to have to dis-agree with you sorry dude... I think it's quite clearly looks like it's running on the in-game engine in real time....
Did you check the other links that I provided? And I have no reason to doubt Kojima-san he hasn't let me down yet.
I am certain the game will look as good as these trailers running on the in game engine (being generated by the PS3) when it comes out, and you can quote me on that.
He did do a 'valve' about Half-Life 2 in this case... I've followed this argument all along, and most industry figures and high profile editors of gaming websites etc understand that this trailer is NOT pre-rendered.
I can continue... i'm completely 100% adament about this, and so far no one has provided anywhere NEAR the kind of proof to back up their claims that it is not pre-rendered like I have that it is in game engine.
Alright, looks like in-game to me...but then why the difference on the helicopter vs. the rest? What are they doing differently?
And honestly, I'm just skeptical because we haven't seen any actual gameplay yet...it'd be nice to just see a minute or less even...
Also, higher res stuff would be nice too.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
The game is gonna look very close to what that trailer shows I am pretty sure of this.

@OriGin:
Wait - now I am all confused. Does Kojima-san use pre-rendered or not?
I could swear that MGS2 on the PS2 had the intro movie sequence (the one where it's raining and Solid Snake is climbing around the suspension bridge) was pre-rendered. I seriously doubt the PS2 could've handled that with an in-game engine, different LODs and models notwithstanding.
If that was not pre-rendered and was actually handled by the in-game engine, hats off to them.
Can you clarify?
Sorry your mother, I noticed that comment wanted to respond but it got lost in everything else I was thinking (again too much coffee blah!! LOL).
The entire game of MGS2 was real-time.
I've got back after playing Zelda on Wii to play MGS2 and 3 recently and I still can't believe how good the graphics in that game is compared to Zelda... I personally think it looks better than Zelda on Wii (i'll get shot for that).
The first scene of MGS2 where it is raining with the cars and their headlights and he climbs up and then jumps down on to the deck of the tanker and then his camo gear fks up is all real time.
Have you seen some parts of MGS3??? I think they look better and I couldn't believe the PS2 was doing it.
Kojima Productions are one of the best development houses in the world (especially at utilising hardware).

Your turn to act (to provide something like 3 days long ban)
Don't worry, I agree that it looks better than Zelda...it should being such a cinematic game and all...
But Link still could kick Snake's ass in SSBB haha.

Can someone point out to me something that's different in this compared to the old one? I faintly remember seeing all of this over a year ago.
It's extremely plausible that most of this was made with the game engine, although there's no way we'll be able to perform half of Raiden's moves in-game. Kind of like the "No, you do not get to play the awesome dude on the cover!" rule with RPG books. =P
