Oh My God.
You are perhaps the worst fanboy i've ever seen Gballzack... in fact I support the Wii, DS and PC gaming more than anything currently.
I'm an ex Sega fanboy and my allegances lie with no gaming company right now... the reason I own a Wii is because I could afford that and I like Zelda games (haven't really touched it since sorry).
I DONT own an Xbox 360
and
I CERTAINLY DONT own a PS3.
I don't plan on purchasing a PS3 until there is something that really tickles my fancy for that console... there are a few good looking games here and there, but nothing to make me buy one yet... MGS4 might be that game for me because I'm a long time MGS fan from the PS1 and PS2 era.
Did you even watch the video link that I posted? That is directly from Kojima-san himself but if you really need it... then I will go even FURTHER to prove my point.

Eurogamer article which mainly focuses on whether this game is Pre-Rendered or not... lets see what they have to say!
The question, of course, is whether this is all truly real-time. The answer is a resounding yes; not only does the trailer itself make that claim in no uncertain terms ("Forget Pre-rendered Stuff!" it instructs viewers at the beginning, during an FPS game spoof section where you see through the eyes of an enemy soldier being taken down by Snake) but it also shows off a number of small hallmarks of real-time footage like occasional low resolution shadows, odd filtering on some textures and a depth of field effect which looks great but not quite as good or accurate as could be achieved simply in 3D Studio Max or the likes.

This is Kojima inteacting with the Character Model in MGS4 via a PS3 dev unit... yes this is not pre-rendered.
Watching any kind of trailer can cause us to raise both our pre-rendered defenses and even our hopes (for MGS/Sony fans, at least) that the footage we just saw will be possible with the eventually released software. This demonstration from Kojima (and MGS character designer Yoji Shinkawa) shows us that the scenes from the vaunted TGS trailer can run in real-time, though 1UP's videos don't show much beyond changing the lighting, colors, zoom, and camera angles while paused. (A video message from a grateful Ken Kutaragi was also reported—though not shown—where he "thanked Kojima for making such a great showcase for his new hardware." If learning Japanese isn't quite your thing, just keep in mind that the female commentator repeatedly exclaims sugoi throughout the video, which means "amazing" or "awesome" in English.)

Kojima Quote
To dispel any doubt, series director Hideo Kojima and artist Yoji Shinkawa held a stage event at Konami's TGS booth to prove that the visuals are indeed running in real-time on the next-generation console. "This trailer isn't a CG or something that we've rendered on a high-spec PC," said Kojima "This is the real thing on a PlayStation 3 development kit."
In conclusion? What am I a fan of in this instance? Simple. I'm a game developer fan... I am a fan of certain main production houses and will generally buy a console when a single game by that developer is released... Kojima is one of my favourite developers, he keeps going until he gets it right and doesn't mind delaying games to make them better.
