Often times, when I read news about people in the government that commited crime. They seem to receive lesser sentence than the regular people.
For an extreme example that everyone(almost) knows about,
Libby recieved a "light" sentence for his crime. He was quickly pardoned.
That gives an impression that I could break laws and not face consequences as long as I am higher up.
