Skies for me... While I loved the art style of Baten Kaitos, I just didn't get into it the way I did with Skies of Arcadia.

I would strongly suggest SoA:L myself. Baten Kaitos uses a card-based battle system. Personally, even playing BK:Origins (which does have great characters, music and story) I was never able to get a solid grip on the battle system, and gave up on it. SoA:L is my favorite 6th gen jrpg, it has a mediocre battle system (at best) that has many *many* other aspects of the game going for it. :)

Pretty much everyone in this entire thread minus 2 people have told you that Skies of Arcadia Legends is a better game and you're going to go with Baten Kaitos anyway?

Why did you bother making this thread?

I loved em both, they both have their pluses, which was the better game?

If you never played an RPG or even 1 of those games before, I'd say skies.

But do yourself a favor and get Baten Kaitos 2 at some point in your life time
