IMO this is what GTAIV should have been...

Around the Network

One major annoyance of the cover system is that you have a pillar or wall with four sides, and you're trying to position yourself on a side where you won't be shot at. The problem is that by the time you find the right side, your body armor will have more holes than the plot of X-Men 2.

Yeah, Saints Row 2....Rockstar screwed up in several ways with GTA4, but don't give THQ a foothold in the genre.

I still think GTA IV is a great game, and Saints Row 2 will not be able to match it

GTAIV didn't feel like a GTA game, but Saints Row 2 looks exactly like what GTA should be.  More wacky, more over-the-top, and more freedom to do the stupidest crazziest shit you can think of.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to games. I loved the side missions and achievements, they added so much to the game. My belief is that Rockstar just went way too far in the direction of realism. Realistic physics? Sure! No jetpacks? Cmon guys!

@ montana hatchet, I agree in many ways, though I do prefer realistic driving and stuff, although having tanks, better chopters etc would have helped the game

I certainly am not going to compain about improved physics and graphics (although flying through the windshield was retarded.  I'm not allowed to wear a seatbelt???).

My problem is that you should use new technology to make things even crazzier and more expansive, not limit everything to realistic and dull.

Gahh, the only thing more annoying that crashing through the windshield (which is actually pretty humorous) is not being able to start your car because you crashed into too many walls. Given that the game is based in the 21st century, you would think that things would have gotten even crazier than San Andreas. But no.

I actually liked the car not starting. If you were being chased it added a little to the chaos.  You'd freak out and run around trying to look for another car lol.  Going through the windshield just pissed me off though.
