Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision, seems to have a love hate relationship with consoles.
On the one hand, Activision's success is largely based on the success of consoles, but on the other, he considers them to be the competition.
"We're competing against Microsoft, and Sony, and Nintendo," he said at the recent D: All Things Digital conference, "and as much as they say they're our partners, they're our competitors, and they definitely keep us on our toes."
And then he had a specific dig intended for Nintendo.
"By the way, when you're promoting a Twinkie-focused lifestyle, Wii Fit is not really in keeping with the tradition of video games," Kotick sniped.
We're not quite sure where that came from.
Perhaps he's a bit snippy because of the onslaught of accusations that Guitar Hero: World Tour is just a ripoff of Rock Band.
