I just want to clarify why I'm feeling so dumbfounded. I just don't understand why I'm seeing this mentality on the internet that Ubisoft somehow owes it to the Wii to make quality games. When Red Steel sells a million, and the Rayman Raving Rabbids series sells 2.5 million and when the Petz series sells 500,000, what incentive does Ubisoft have to improve their quality on the Wii?

The president of the company had previously PROMISED QUALITY games on the Wii. Did you not notice that?

Any why should the 360 and PS3 get all the quality games from Ubisoft? Do they magically deserve them better?

That commet is nothing but ignorance and bullshit.

No they don't magically deserve them. However, Ubisoft as a corporation deserves, by law, to release whatever games they want on whatever systems they want. They don't owe any system anything. They owe it to themselves to make profit in whatever legal fashion they see fit. And guess what: Ubi's games on the PS3 and 360 sell like gangbusters. Someone's spewing out ignorance and bullshit, but it's not me. And no one has actually answered "what incentive does Ubisoft have to improve their quality on the Wii?"

Guillemot's comments about quality turned out to be pretty bullshit, I'll give you that. But PROMISES mean nothing in business unless they're contractual. A corporate figure head is always gonna speak positively about his company. Learn to take what they say with a grain of salt.

They have a clear incentive, they just don't seem to understand that. Because the image of the company is dependent on th equality of their games. If they keep on delivering non-products their reputation as a quality software maker will go down the drain. Seeing the reactions on the internet and their own forums makes me think their reputation already took a major blow.

I do't know what business you're in, but in my world integrity is a very important part of doing business. Again the reputation of the company is related to that. A CEO that lies is absolutely unacceptable and will affect the company.

What's jman's posting history? Just want to be sure he's one of those people or not.

BTW, they can keep these games, just put more effort into them. Aside from RRR3, the best looking one is actually Baby Party (which is why I have the least complaints for it, aside from RRR3). Make Dogz and Catz look better. The games Puppy Luv and Kitty Luv look better than those screens for Dogz.

And the Sean White thing. What the fuck? So what if it controls well. Could they at least have used a more advanced engine? The HD version is using the Assassin's Creed engine. Don't they have one to fit the Wii, like say, Unreal 2.5?

Oh Joy!.

I hope this is true just for the potential drama. I get giddy at the prospect of Ubi marketers being caught sneaking around the VGC forums and then getting a public flogging (always wanted to use that word).

It would explain why someone new would be so passionately devoted to this thread he seems to be incapable of budging outside of his predetermined thoughts.

Don't you mean his company's talking points?

BTW, this was from the ubi forums thread:

You know, I'm actually starting to get seriously worried at the fact that Ubisoft still haven't said anything official in response to this backlash...

I mean, if Ubisoft do actually have some more core titles in development for the Wii, and just weren't ready to reveal them, they could easily have said "Wait until E3, there's more to come", or something like that. After all, it's believable that Nintendo wanted Ubisoft to keep games like Red Steel 2 for revealing during their pre-E3 conference. However, Ubisoft's continued silence makes this increasingly unlikely.

Ubisoft, if you do indeed have something else that will be revealed at E3, please at least let us know there's more coming.

"Nintendo know this and Ubisoft know this."

Since when did Nintendo and Ubisoft become plural? Nintendo is a SINGLE company and so is Ubisoft. Sure, each company is made up of many people, but the companies themseves are one entity. Whoever writes this BS needs to work on their Engrish.

I'm having the same thoughts - hope there are more like myself who'll make sure that the blind ignorance of their attitude and seemingly pigeon holeing console owners comes back to bite them.  Yes I own a Wii and wouldn't buy image Babiez but I also own a 360, bought Assasins Creed, also bought every Splinter Cell game to date, Red Steel on same day I bought Wii (on launch), both RRR games and many other Ubisoft games but now i'm never gonna buy another Ubisoft title again.  I have a massive budget for games at it's mine and my wifes biggest hobby and guess what Ubisoft - none of it's yours anymore.

I'm just one person but hopefully they'll be more people like this - also if I were Nintendo i'd make a stand against this, how dare Ubisoft belittle all of Nintendo's work and quickly attatch a label to the userbase of a console they've clearly demonstrated their struggling to understand.

End of Rant cocnlusion:  Imagine:  Ubisoft are Titz

That I can accept, since a lot of users there are not native English speakers (and therefore typers), so it's likely that mod isn't either.

That and typos are to be expected with message boards. I just had to edit one on this post.

Xbox360 and Ps3 owner

I spit in your mouth at nite

Lets face the fact: Ubisoft is dead for Wii-Gamers.

But thankfully other companies are able to develop great AAA-games for the wii. There are many quality games in the pipeline this year. So other companies will make money with the wii not Ubisoft.

it is time to change back my sig after all :

Wii : casual is everything,
