i think a lot of the english inspired french words come from modern things like computer, mcdonalds, hamburger, internet, ect. it's been like 10 years since i took french but that's what i remember.

I'd also like to add: check noticable French industries like food and fashion.
I mean the words "cuisine" and "Haute Couture" should convince you that within those two industries alone there should be a lot more French subjects.

It is the opposite that he is looking for. French words that are derived from English words. According to Wikipedia, of the 35 000 French words, 1054 have English entomologies.

I was going to say something about the French not even being able to defend, let alone attack. But it would be cruel to bring up their world war short comings.
