i think a lot of the english inspired french words come from modern things like computer, mcdonalds, hamburger, internet, ect. it's been like 10 years since i took french but that's what i remember.

 That woulld be a dream come true... seriously it would.

l'avocat means both lawyer and avocado. But it's not a loan word. It's just funny.

I'd also like to add: check noticable French industries like food and fashion.

I mean the words "cuisine" and "Haute Couture" should convince you that within those two industries alone there should be a lot more French subjects.
