Guys I have a French project and I don't know what to do!!!! I need 30 words in French that have English, not Latin, roots. Can anyone find a good website.

Wow that is a dificult task there are not so many loan words in French from english words I though there were less than 800 words (and that is not much compared to other languages).

In wished I could tell witch words the English or The French imported =/.

Hey I had to do that too, only I needed 10, can't remember them though. I hate French so I forgot all about it.

le weekend', 'le job' (in France) or 'la job' (in Canada) and 'le biftek' (beefsteak). <<< from Wikipedia. Not much help.

Best thing I can think of is, look for French inventions. Usually something that is invented in a country get's taken over in it's native terms by foreign country's.

So, see what French inventions you can find and see hwat you recognize from english.

yeah, you'd probably do best to look at words that are newer and deal with electronics, or pull more from pop culture and stuff, perhaps even brand name stuff.

I don't really know about French, but those type of words are the most likely in which you're going to see the French go along with the words already being used to describe something, instead of making up their own words for it just to be French :P

I got a dictionary from the library, some of them are like vacuum cleaner, water-polo, VIP. At least I finished the project.
