Forums - Gaming - Redemption! GTA review article by GameSetWatch

After catching loads of flak for my last editorial, the first 6-7 paragraphs of this article just put a big ol' shit-eating grin on this pig's face:

Bravo. At least someone had the balls to retract some of their statements about the game. I am so incredibly smug right now that even I find myself intolerable.

I almost wish I could just watch cut-scenes of the game because the story is probably one of the only things keeping me into it (assuming the wheels of the story aren't stopped between certain missions).

It's a good game, sure, but I don't agree with the hype and the 10's and I'm sure as heck getting bored of these missions (especially car chases).... Which sucks because I'm around 20 hours in and nearly 50% complete.

Hopefully Gamefly has copies in because I have to take the copy my friend rented for me back this weekend.

=p Some will not like to read this.

Ugh, here it goes again...

I am tired of hearing all the crap around these reviews, I don't even own the game and feel like I am sick of it already.

I think its cute that the reviewers thought it mattered that they release a review in a timely manner to serve the needs of consumers. GTA IV was a game where reviews didn't matter at all and any continued debate over the validity of review scores is just a pathetic pissing contest.

Then many people have big bladders :P

Well, it doesn't matter if it deserves a ten or now... The next ten the game will see is in millions of sales, which it'll reach soonly (2-3 weeks).

Crying over review scores is done, now we're onto the MGS4 Rumors (exclusivity, ninety-minute cutscenes, etc.)
