I've been looking for a copy of Mario Kart for a buddy's birthday (he's a wii/360 owner), and I couldn't find it anywhere when I went shopping yesterday. None of the Walmarts in a 5 mile radius (including a super walmart) had it, Target was sold out, Circuit City was sold out, and Best Buy was sold out.

"We've had hundreds," was what the Best Buy guy said when I asked, "but we're sold out."

I think everyone who has played the game will probably agree that this is the best Mario Kart ever, and that the online is absolutely awesome, but it's still ridiculous that the game is sold out a month after release. What the hell is going on?

I didn't bother checking any of the west side stores because I had a busy day planned.

Well, I couldn't make it to his party and he's a good friend of mine.  He has a 360 as well, but he'd rather have Mario Kart than any 360 game.

I live in Paris and I can tell you this is hard to find one. Wii fti is easier to get. I guess they're sending it to USA. However, it's also sold out in US...

In a way i guess its good the game is selling, but bad for those who didnt get it at launch...

I checked Walmart, Target, Best Buy, all empty. I did order it off our Amazon store though and it's in shipping as I type this. Maybe this title sells better at retail than online.

Of course I found no Wii or Wii Fits either.

When I got it at Eb Games they had a ton of copies, and they werent really flying off the shelf

That must really suck, because where i live all the stores i have been too over the past month have always had lots of mario karts and the plastic wheels too.
