Forums - General - A thread for Democrats!

It looks like its going to be a great year for us. In the Senate, I could see us with a gain of four seats as we pretty much have races in the bag in New Hampshire, New Mexico and Virginia. We also have a great chance to pick up Colorado. There's even the possibility of picking up the open seat in Mississippi. The House is also looking a bit blue.

Presidential races are always hard to call as anything could happen, but I'm really relieved to see things are pulling together for Obama. He would easily be the better candidate.  The latest poll (I always use Rasmussen) shows him tied with mccain at 45% although mccains favorable/unfavorable ratings are slightly better. I suspect this situtation to improve when Hillary Clinton finally drops out of the race (the vise is tightening) and her voters will eventually come over to Obamas side.

What do you think about our current situation?

Call me crazy but I think the media reporting of how Hillary's supporters will jump ship to McCain when Obama is nominated is a gross exaggeration and it won't materialize during the actual campaign. That said, well I have no more to say as I don't really believe a change in the legislative and administrative branch would usher into an age of prosperity. I predict doom and gloom in the following years.

BUT all you need to do is believe in change and it will happen!

I know a lot of Clinton supporters and the only one who won't vote for Obama in the general election and that's because he's a racist. Most Obama supporters would have a hard time voting for Clinton especially since there's no legitimate way she could become the nominee and because of her support of the war.
