Forums - Nintendo - Thinking of getting an Ace Attorney game for the DS...

Just played a demo version thanks to the Nintendo channel. I was very impressed, but I felt like I missed something. I usually like to play games in order, so I was wondering what game from the series I should get first, & anything I should know before playing.

PS: Did I spell "attorney" right?

.................
thanks for the help, guys. :/

I haven't played them all but from reviews I don' think there are major changes in the gameplay between titles, so you might as well start with the first game.

Great series BTW!

I haven't started the 4th one yet, but I hear it only has slight nods to the first three, which are an actual trilogy of story.

Pretty sure you can start with the 4th and not miss much, other than Phoenix Wright was the previous protagonist.

I just finished playing the first 3 and I'm working on the 4th now. :) I'd really recommend starting with the first, just because it's sets you up for the rest of the trilogy. The 4th can certainly be played separately from the first 3, but so far, I enjoyed the characters from the first 3 a little more.

That said, the 4th is certainly more interactive, with a more varied game play designed for the DS. You can't really go wrong with either. :)

Get 1 & 4 or 2 & 4 or 3 &4

Poor PS3 Sales Means Smaller Losses

I really recommend you start playing the first one, it's addictive, i love those games, so if you like it you can continue with the Phoenix Wright trilogy and end with Apollo Justice

Definitely get the first game if you're new to Phoenix Wright. Although it's not crucial, I think it's important to play them in order, because a background in the story is important in many of the cases. Besides, all the games are fundamentally the same, and the first game is one of the best in the series.

What do you do in these games? I was thinking about getting one after I start buying games again, but I don't know too much about it.

Plus, the fifth case in the first game has been designed specifically for the DS, whilst 2 and 3 are just straight ports of the GBA versions.
