Forums - Microsoft - are our XBOX 360 US numbers inflated?

I was told in an older post that it's not just North America, even--it's North and South America. So it's all of the Americas, and really, America is a correct way to say that. If it was listed as U.S.A. than it would be wrong. Maybe it would be a better idea to add that S, though, just to eliminate all confusion, but it's our ethnocentricism that makes us think it just means the U.S., not the fault of the site.

My consoles and the fates they suffered:

Atari 7800 (Sold), Intellivision (Thrown out), Gameboy (Lost), Super Nintendo (Stolen), Super Nintendo (2nd copy) (Thrown out by mother), Nintendo 64 (Still own), Super Nintendo (3rd copy) (Still own), Wii (Sold)

A more detailed history appears on my profile.

Perhaps the North American countries should just unite and create a flag for us to use.

I'm sure it would have other benefits, too. Like trade deals, and easier travelling between the countries.

No way. The NAU and the Amero currency is one step closer to the NWO. Asian community, EU, African Union, Union of South American Users, etc. can enjoy their supranational gov't but count the US out.

Considering the current relative strength of the Canadian dollar to the US dollar, perhaps a merged bank/currency wouldn't be a bad idea.

Yeah, because it's obviously a system that doesn't work. That's why so many countries are refusing to join these unions, and ones that do don't last that long.

Are there any official Canadian numbers anywhere? That's going to be the only country making the majority of the difference up.

NPD always covers Canadian numbers most of the time, seperate tables from U.S.A.

I meant Union of South American Nations (Unasur), sorry.  Forgot about the Arab League (AL), Assoc.of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and Organization of American States (OAS). Proposed--Central Asian Union, Pacific Union, and Federal Europe (the US of Europe).

Canada and Mexico doesnt make up for the great difference between NPD data and MS claims and our numbers.

So yes ,probably inflated.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are over by about 500k. Rule of thumb is Canada + Mexico is about 10% of US. So it should be slightly more than 11 million right now.

As I said previously, you also have to add in South American sales. So NPD US + Canada + Mexico + South America + rest of Latin America and Carribiean (if any cnosoles are sold there, I don't know) = VGChartz America number.

I think. Could some mod or someone (Sqrl maybe?) who knows the exact way the site breaks down their numbers comfirm or debunk what I'm claiming? I think I'm right (America meaning both North and South America), but obviously can't be 100% certain.
