They're quick to re-make FF I, II, III, IV, V, and VI, but anything after that is a no-go.

Guys, did Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII ever get released to mobile phones?

Here is an excerpt from an IGN article about Final Fantasy Agito XIII:

Agito XIII appears to be a long ways off. Nomura and crew believe that they can't do the game on current generation cell phones (that would be 3G in Japan, the same generation that runs Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII) and are considering doing it for next generation 4G sets. The only problem is, 4G sets haven't exactly been announced yet.

The canceled game could also be Kingdom Hearts: Coded. I do not think that game was ever released.

FF7 has a 10 million Fanbase.....FF8 has an 8 million fanbase....FF9 has a 5 million fanbase

they are instead going for FF1 - 6 remakes all of which never crossed 4 million

That is the company I understand the less in the world. Why making it for cellphones in the firstplace??? Wouldn't it be better to release a FFXIII spin-off on PSP, DS, Xbox360 or Wii? It's to wonder if Sony has paid SE not to put a spin-off on other consoles.

 Would you like the FF7 remake to be on DS?  Because the difference in scope between FF1-6 on DS and a FF7 remake (most people want it to be for PS3, from what i've heard) is huge.

 Unless, of course, you want to see FF7 on DS, in which case I agree.  They must hate money
