Shack News - No score

"In the end, the pure fun of the carnage far outweighs any fleeting camera issues, level design shortcomings, or boss frustrations. "

Geekpulp - No score

"The issues above did not impede my enjoyment of Ninja Gaiden 2, the game-play is strong enough to make up for little annoyances……… and then some."

EDIT: TeamXbox.com/Team Ninja/MS claims that the retail version will not have any/as much as framerate drops and loading times compared to the review builds.

REEDIT: CVG claims they based their reviews off the boxed retail PAL version of NG2, says slowdown is very much still there. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=68225

NG2 looks like it's going to be awesome so far, I hope the camera/framerate issues get a little tweak before the game ships but as long as the diffilculty is still brutal, then I'm all up for it.

I will update this thread if people cares, but will not add anything but independent multiplatform sources.

Camera is pretty important for such games, still good scores.

Pretty much what I was expecting. The first game had camera issues, but it didn't stand in the way of it being a blast. (And crazy hard, though not really due to the camera so much as just being incredibly technically demanding.)

I'm guessing the average scores will roll in at about the mid 80% range. There will be some that go into the 9's, and some in the 7's, but it'll average out to somewhere in the 8's. It definitely won't be a universally acclaimed game, but I know it'll be a worthy purchase for me on launch day. Loved the first, and I'm guessing this will be a great extension of that one. (I'm also not reading the reviews outside of the scores yet, since I don't want to ruin anything before i get it.)

The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.

Agreed 100% on every single thing you wrote in there. Nothing left for me to say here ;)

Yeah, the camera issues were in all the other NG games aswell. The only time that a camera issue would frustrate me is when the enemies can see and attack you but you can't see the enemies. Since NG is a challenging game, camera issues would only be magnified in terms of frustration.

EGM also gave it Game of the Month, apparently, even over MGS4.

EDIT:  ...or not.

That was false and shot down by EGM editors. MGS4 isn't even reviewed in the same issue as the GeOW cover which means we'll have to wait a month and a half for the MGS4 review from EGM.

@GooseGaws

thats was FAKE

 lool,,,that was a fake story

the game is good ,,I played the first one on my xbox

the reasons that I m not excited anymore :

1.Very bad story(cheesy cut scenes that you wish never existed)

2.Unforgiving hard

3.Camera angle frustrated me alot,,,,the game  was already hard, and that camera angle annoyed the hell out of me.

I gave up playing around chapter 10 I think and never went bacj

but the level of action is top nothch in the game.

Ah... Guess I've been out of the loop on that one; apologies. That'll teach me to post at quarter to four in the morning...
