rich as nazis, apparantly.

Thanks for the info, and ......were they free w/ purchase of a console? I'm trying to see what I should reasonably expect in the coming months. Thanks.

Yeah, because we all know that nazis are ONLY KNOWN for their riches... no?

^??? $20 controller at launch? in your dreams, they were $35

I could be wrong, I don't remember how much I spent on the second PS2 controller ... I do remember that I bought my gamecube at launch with 3 additional controllers and 2 games and it was just over $500 canadian with tax (it was under $500 because I put a $50 deposit to pre-order the Gamecube); this was when the canadian dollar was in the $0.60 range (compared to the US dollar), the Gamecube cost $300, the games were $60, and the controllers were $29.95. This was significant because you couldn't buy an XBox (or PS2) with a game for less than I bought my entire Gamecube set-up for at the time ...

I thought they were $30, but might of been $40... been so long ago... Anyways, they are only $20 for a new one now. Not sure where you are getting the $60 from....?

Amazon lists the PS3 dual shock (wireless) for $55 list price, but have it for $50. Anyways, the PS3 is wireless, batteries, etc, so you shouldn't confuse the PS2 and PS3.

There's a reason why controllers got more expensive over the years. The newer controllers have a lot of stuff which just wasn't present before, especially on the Wii (Wiimote/Nunchuk - two sets of motion detectors, IR camera, internal speaker).
