Three sales papers in my Sunday newspaper -- K-Mart, Target, and Best Buy -- offered $50 store gift cards if people bought GTA 4 and an Xbox 360.

Could this finallly cause GTA 4 to move hardware?

Is this Microsoft trying to stay ahead of the PS3 version of the game (which has a higher attach rate given the differences in user bases)?

PS -- I did not see anything like that in the Toys R Us or Sears ads and Wal-Mart does not run newspaper ads.

Don't you mean that this is meant for GTA4 to move hardware?

Also, I just think it has more to do with clientéle attachrates then moving hardware from the shelves. Aren't those three retailers connected?
