Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo game Hall of Shame (Wii)

Among the Wii games I´ve played none of them were bad. The only dissapointing one was Super Paper Mario so far, but it definitely doesn´t belong to the hall of shame. It started really well, but after collecting some of the stars the story became uninteresting  and whatever features like cooking became quickly boring.

Far Cry Vengeance. It's not as bad as most reviewers make it out to be, but since the Far Cry franchise is so awesome, they really screwed up here.

@Cheebee
Are you serious? S&P is 1 of my favs! It's a little dated now, and is probably too hardcore for most, but I think it's an incredible game. It ranks right up there with NG, and I personally, think it has more style. There is certainly more variety in S&P, then there is in most shooters. I'm anxiously hoping for a Wii or DS sequel. I was surprised that it even got a translated, stateside vc release.

I usually read up on games and rent/borrow before I buy. So, I don't buy to many bad games. I did get Red Steel, though simply because I wanted a fps at launch and thought the idea of fps with motion-sensing sounded cool. In the end it wasn't horrible, just not good. I agree with sonic riders and Far Cry. The Wii version of SR was better and the motion controls helped, but it still didn't take too long for me to get bored with it. It's a lot better on multi especially with 4 player teams on survival ball mode. Which I thought was kind of creative. It just sad, because the rail stages in SA where a lot of fun and seemed like the idea had potential.
I never thought Far Cry was that great to begin with and Wii version wasn't as bad as critics made it out to be, but it's still a rent/pass on type game, even if your into shooters.

 I did the exact same thing.

The worst game I've played on the Wii is probably Wii Play. Doesn't matter though, I got a Wiimote with it >:D and I do enjoy some of the games.

Soul Calibur Legends. My wife likes this game because it involves no skill at all. Just arm waggling. So I waited until it was like $15 and bought it for her. The game isn't horrible, but just playing it makes me realize all the wasted potential.

Wow! This list is surprisingly weak, considering how people constantly rag on the Wii for having an enormous list of hideously mangled uber-craptastic shovelware. Lets see. So, far you've got Anubis, Alien Syndrome, Chicken Shi-I mean Chicken Shoot, and EM, aka Crazy Taxi: Hospital Ride, which I would think the majority of people would be able to look at the box and realise to step away slowly. Then, there's Wii Play; decent, though short lived multi play experience, that's practically free and besides I love the tank game. That makes it worth the purchase, alone. Followed by the mindless meritocracy that is Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz(below par controls even for a launch game and some "interesting" physics), Soul Caliber:Legends(Hey! You got Soul Caliber in my Gauntlet), and Obscure(it's value is hardly a surprise). Like I said, mediocre, but did anyone expect more? Further down the list, we have PoP and Nights. Which are hardly of shovelware value, just disappointing compared to their predecessor. I don't care what any critics say, I still say Nights is at least worth renting. I actually liked Secret Rings a lot. It's 1 of best the 3-d Sonic games. It's not SA2, but I'd recommend it to anyone who liked Sonic Adventure. If you think that's bad, I implore you check out Sonic The Hedgehog. That should put things into perspective. Finally there's, Super Paper Mario and FF:CC. Which, don't belong anywhere near this list. SPM isn't PM:RPG, but it's not suppose to be. I can't think of 1 2.5D RPG/Platform hybrid that's better. Not bad, for a game that came out as soon as it did and I never even saw it coming. If you like FF:CC and Sim City and you don't think MLAAK is worth the price, I don't know what will make you happy. I think this really says something about Wii games If something is really bad(I mean TecmoRPG bad), then it's usually easy to spot. SaviorX's mention of SvsR08 is understandable, if your a raslin' fan. Besides that, can anyone think of a game that was hyped and expected to be amazing, that was terrible?
