Do you play video games up to the point it begins to control your life? Most people ar game addict begin to lie to their parents, grades slip in school and play video games 24 hours.

Um it doesn't control my life, but I am an addict.

I made a rough calculation on the amount of time I've played video games throughout my entire life.

It came out to roughly 4100 hours.
Plus I have over 200 games.

So I don't know..

I have had peaks in my life where it has - depends on the game. But, I feel, I control my gaming habits now, even though I play some kind of gaming almost everyday. Yesterday I didn't even touch a game system but I did speak/post and thought about games :P So I'm a addict!

Not anymore....actually, my enjoyment with videogames has been on a donward spiral since the last generation.

Not to the point where it affects my health. The only reason I play video games sometimes is because I can't do anything else. Weird question Snake612, magazines influencing your posting? The only game those mags bring up is World of Warcraft.

10 years ago i was addict now i only play about 1-2 hours every other day, i am internet addict though

I'm not addicted! I can stop playing Kart online whenever I want too...

I would say that i'm addicted to video games. But only other addictions cause me to lie and do bad in school >:^U

I actually have a diagnosed obsession :p

When I'm not playing games in my spare time (a rarity), I'm usually reading about them, talking about them, thinking about them, coming up with my own ideas for them, and posting on here with you fine people

That said, I know my priorities. School, family, and socializing with friends all come first (although the 'friends' part usually mixes well with the gaming ).
