Forums - Nintendo - New Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World trailer! (KICK ASS!)

Just asking, whats the name of the song? Where can I download it?~.~

The song kick ass not the trailer, I've seen these kind of trailer many times already.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Three-Legged Race is the name. Downloads...hmm...not up yet :P

The Japanese intro song for the first ToS is better though:

Live version:

Are the songs have the same artist? Same voice. Like the live version better

Japanese voice overs are always good in Tales games, just wait until the english ones come.

Most people who say Japanese VA is good usually wouldn't know bad from good Japanese VA anyway.  Not saying that's you (I haven't heard the Jap VA cast for ToS), but I tend to regard people who make that kind of statement as ignorant and more often than not it's right on the money.

OK, thanks so much. Im thinking this song for long time, thank you very much...

Yes, same artist. The singer is named Misono. The band is called The Day After Tomorrow.

I'll take the orchestral intro over the singer.  The music fits extremely well with the video and gives Tales of Symphonia a very epic feeling the moment you turn it on.

Except damn Scamco is retarded. They CUT OUT THE INTRO SONG IN THE ENGLISH GC VERSION OF TOS!!!! THey give us this piece of crap:

What is this garbage? Scamco is racist :(

Oh, and the Japanese PS2 version of ToS (well, ToS was released on the PS2 in Japan only...) gets a different song:

I know.  I'm saying the English orchestral intro is better than the Japanese song which is actually pretty mediocre.  The orchestral intro and the video work really well together so I'm very much glad they didn't give Tales of Symphonia the Japanese song.

You...have a very bad opinion

Hehe, I figured you'd say as much.  I also see a lot of flaws in Tales of Symphonia that you don't.  That's okay though.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even you... no matter how wrong it is.

I'm with Wow on this one, the orchestral intro in the American version is much better than that JPop song in the Japanese intro.  Sakuraba's intro piece sets the scene better and makes the vocal song sound conspicuously out of place.

I enjoy both openings, so there. :p

(Admittedly I also enjoy jpop and such as well) :p

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

I may not know japanese and can´t judge the content of what they say, but honestly it´s not that hard to understand who has a good voice and who a bad one. I´ve played quite a few games with japanese voice-overs and watched various anime in japanese and even though I don´t understand what they say I have my personal jugdment of how the voices sound.

Look, most people here like how jp voice-overs of the ToS sequel sound. Are they ignorant to you as well? How it sounds, it´s just a matter of opinion. For instance, I generally don´t like the cheesy voices of moe characters whether in jp or english, but sometimes an exceptional actor makes it sound good to my ears. Now, what they actually say and how good it´s lip-synched its another story.
