My biggest complaints are the balance games. They seem totally off.

But yeah, skiing is horrific and so is soccer, they don't seem to work. None of the balance games do. You have to contort to weird positions and stuff.

You must be doing something wrong. The balance games works like a charm. I had several people over that have never played Wii / video games before and they were delighted by the balance games and they also managed decent scores.

Whatever, but I find they do not work at all.

It does use the standard BMI range. I'm ~27.25 and I am overweight. I personally have a goal of 175-180 pounds, which would land me right at ~25. I happen to be a big guy (not one of those super skinny type people even if I get to like 5% body fat), so being In the high end of normal would be excellent for me.

Anyways, I like all the games I've played, but I'm really waiting for the boxing game to get unlocked. My upper legs kill after two 30min sessions, one last night, and one this morning. It really works your muscles that help stabilize your body, so it will definitely be a good addition to regular weight lifting.

Also, I love the basic step game, and think that if you could add a platform under the board, someone could make an excellent step aerobics workout like the videos, only with monitoring to see if you're falling behind or making mistakes.

The balance games are great, you just have to use subtle movements. I like the slalom skiing. I'm yet to get through all the gates, but I'm getting better.

It doesn't use the standard BMI, it called me "Obese" 2-3 BMIs lower.

As for the subtle movements, I felt it's the exact opposite, I have to do ridicolous motions for it to slightly detect me.

26 it calls you overweight. I am over 26 and that is what I am called. I don't recall when it calls you obese. It classifies my wife as that.

I'm 28 BMI and I told it I want to be 27 BMI and it still said I would be obese.

When I was looking at it this morning, it looked like the line was at 30 that it went from overweight to obese.

Are you sure you were reading it right? Maybe you saw a line above your current weight and if you cross that, it would be obese, but you were most likely in the overweight area. Try zooming out, or did it actually speak the word obese?

he could also be young, which I think affects how you calculate weight category based on BMI.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I tried it about 20 minutes at my sister's home today. It's far more motivating and addictiing than I ever thought.

The lessons look very interesting and the balance games I've seen so far are fun and work well for me. 55 seconds in skiing in my 2nd try :D

And people, please don't always discuss this BMI thing when it comes to WiiFit. Who cares.

Hm, maybe I should buy it after all... It's never sold out in my area.

I find it very strange that your having problems with the games, football headering works perfectly once you get the idea that you DON'T have to move that much, just shift your balance, same goes with Skiing and the rest. The marble game just makes it far more clear which is why it "works" for you.

I think you might be leaning to much one way and then other forcing your body to over compensate making it far harder then it actually is.

The games are good fun once you get the knack

Nintendotogepi you must have a bug inyour version because mne says 29.5 and it says I am Overweigth not Obese. Even on the graph they use it shows Obese at 30 which isrigth above the line I am on.

could be age. here is the chart for BMI by age from the CDC

wow lot's of high BMI's.. I have a 19.3 BMI

As far as working, mine works like a charm, you don't have to make big sweeping movements it's all balances and weight distribution. I also have a perfect 50/50 balance which I thought was awesome ^^.

It senses weight shifts pretty well, maybe your problem is your control over your balance? Give it a go try to shift your weight around while standing in place, it's difficult if you don't know how to do it but once you've got it that's it.

One other thing I noticed that is kind of cool. I created an accounted for a women who comes over and while she was trying to do someting in Yoga I thought I woudl show her how to do it. However when I stepped on the board it immediately put a message up saying that her weight has changed and asked if you wold like to continue.
