Forums - Nintendo - To stay or temporary!

I truly think Nintendo will take advantage of the device.
I'm really uncertain if any third-parties will see that this device is unique and should be developed upon.

Looking at the descriptions above have me really looking forward to what the Balance Board can handle. I hope its here to stay not just some device that disappears quickly.

***Well the same thing can be said for the Wii-Mote, but it is selling like hotcakes :D

Well WeSki was just released and I know that SSK's next title will utalize the Balance Board. We also know that Raving Rabbids 3 will also utalize the board. So you have the two major third parties (UbiSoft,EAGames) supporting the board. I'm pretty sure if their titles are even mildly successful other titles will follow suit. Keep in mind most of the companies avoided the Wiimote till it was to late to cash in on the niche market.

So I think a couple publishers will jump on the Balance Board right off the bat in an attempt to take advantage of the niche market. I think we'll see at least a couple dozen titles by the end of the generation if it isn't fully adopted as standard controls!

I hope that it can be used as much as possible but I fear that the common gamer, hardcore or not will be to lazy to use it that way.

BACK TO THE FUTURE 2: HOVERBOARD RACING.

Oh and for regular racers, you could sit on your ass on the couch, with the board under your feet, and press with one foot or the other to simulate gas and brakes, while using a Wii Wheel in your hands to steer.

Probably won't be long until we do see a racing game support the Balance Board that way, RubangB. And the hoverboard idea would also be awesome. There's plenty left to make for the Balance Board, even stuff we wouldn't think of here on VG Chartz.
